Are ENKI's data centers SAS70 certified?
Yes, our data centers are located in CoreSite's Valley Exchange and Market Post Tower facilities, which have SAS70 Type II certification. Documentation is available on request.
Are ENKI data centers resident in 3rd party colo vendors premises? Do we work with ENKI, or with these colo vendors regarding issues at physical/link/network layers?
ENKI's data centers are all currently in CoreSite data center hotels, not colo providers. ENKI's mission is to eliminate the need for an operations department for our clients through our outsourced operations services. As such, we are a single point of contact for all requests and issues relating to our services. (Please see our service description.)
What are the LB (load balancer) and f/w (firewall) appliances vendors ENKI uses?
Our firewalls are provided by Fortigate and Juniper, and include IDS and IPS functions with signature-based exploit denial. In addition, we often provision load balancers and firewalls as virtual appliance in our customers' virtual private data centers to allow for defense-in-depth or specific security features. These appliances may contain software provided by Citrix, F5, and other hardware vendors as well as software by third parties such as Untangle, or popular open source software such as HA-proxy. With today's fast processors, virtual appliances offer a flexible and high performance customer-specific alternative to hardware security appliances. We also configure our physical routers, which are supplied by Juniper, to deny known exploits, filter unused ports out, and limit IP address spaces that can be guessed or attacked.
